I flushed a large bottle of aftershave down the toilet by accident.
It fell in and i went to get something to get it out with and got distracted, then flushed the toilet later forgetting it was in there. It didn't sound too healthy going down. Are the pipes big enough to allow something like that through? Or will it be permanently lodged in my plumbing system somewhere? Yes Nik B, it'l smell like Issey Miyake now! ha ha Thanks for you help folks. |

It will probably get stuck at a joint, and there's a good chance that this willl cause a blockage.

Only one way to find out, time! It should be ok though, if it's got around the u-bend it should be fine.
Does your sewers smell nice now? |

The pipes are usually big enough but the bottle may get stuck on the elbows and fittings. Sorry for the bad news.

Call a plumber it is gonna be stuck down their. It wouldnt be too good for the plumbing system.....
Also dont go for a no 2 it may block the system even more with your aftershave bottle down there... Then again the plumbing system is gonna be smelling good for a while. |

Don't worry it should be ok,if it does eventually block up it will just need the pipes rodding out.It may have even broke at the bottom

If it didn't try to overflow when you flushed it, then it will be ok.

Standard drain pipes are 4 inches in diameter so should be able to handle an aftershave bottle. But there is a good chance it could stick at a joint, if it got around the u-bend of the toilet then maybe you'll get away with it. Just keep an eye on the water level in your toilet bowl when flushing, if it rises call the plumber!!!!

I think you don't need to worry...yet. Your system will let you know within a day or so. Meantime there's not much you can do, except invoke divine aid or allign yourself better with the Universal Flow.

I recently just flushed a little plastic cup and my husband had to take the entire toilet off and extract it that way
It would flush OK with it in there, but we didn't use it. so get it fixed before you take a dump! |

yes it will probably block your pipes you silly sausage.it will probs get stuck in one of the u-bends so nothing or only little will get passed it so beware of your toilet water spilling over after you have used the loo a few times.but for your sake hopefully you were right and your pipes will be able to shift it.x
