    Help? I'm studying for finals & I need help with this problem:

    I have these two equations

    (I1-4)(-j5)+I1,j5+(I1-I2)8=0

    (I2-4)j10+(I2-I)8-j5=0

    j is a complex coefficient.

    For simplicity, let's call I1=x and I2=y. Then,

    (x - 4)(-5j) + 5xj + (x - y)8 = 0
    (y - 4)(10j) + (y - x)8 - 5j = 0

    Simplifying,

    -5xj + 20j + 5xj + 8x - 8y =0
    8x - 8y = -20j
    x = y - 5/2j

    10yj - 40j +8y -8x - 5j = 0
    10yj - 40j + 8y - 8(y - 5/2j) - 5j = 0
    10yj - 40j + 8y - 8y -20j - 5j = 0
    10yj - 65j = 0
    y = 65/10

    x = 65/10 - 5/2j
