While cutting the hedge on sunday I noticed a birds nest so I peeped in and there were 2 eggs so I stopped cutting the hedge and left it alone. I saw the mother in the nest yesterday and today but I wondering how long it will be before the eggs hatch. Thanks.

probably about 2 months, i'm not really sure. but you'll know about it, you'll either hear them, or see a lot of activity from the parents flying in and out of there.

Two weeks from laying and then another three weeks before the chicks leave the nest.

The starlings nesting in my house hatched 2 weeks ago. The eggs should hatch withing 7 - 10 days and the chicks will leave the nest about 3 weeks later Starlings are a protected bird, it's illegal to destroy their nest. Not that you would |
